When to Choose the Hardened Tool
For standard residential wallpaper, the standard scoring tool does the job. The Hardened version is worth the upgrade when you're dealing with wallpaper that's been painted over multiple times, double-layered paper, or when you're stripping multiple rooms and want a tool that holds up across the whole job without the blades dulling.
